Why Denver JDS?
Extraordinary education is more than just a part of our tagline; it’s at the core of our existence.
Academic excellence goes far beyond having a high grade point average. Denver JDS students are inspired to think deeply, work collaboratively, listen thoughtfully, and act responsibly. Judaic values, literature circles, science experiments, project-based learning, and lively classroom discussions make up the daily experience here. Denver JDS inspires Jewish youth to think critically about the world in which we live and prepares them for the role they will play in affecting it.

Our pluralistic Judaic program inspires learners to develop a positive relationship with Israel, Torah, and the Jewish people. We use our Divrei Chaim (Words to Live By) as the basis of our program. Hebrew language is studied in every grade and a six-week Hebrew Immersion Program (HIP) in Israel for the 10th grade is a keystone of our Hebrew curriculum.
As the Rocky Mountain region’s only PreK-12 community Jewish day school, Denver JDS gives its students...
- A pluralistic, inclusive approach to Judaism and Judaic studies
- A warm and caring learning environment steeped in Jewish values
- An extraordinary, college-preparatory curriculum
As a pluralistic community of learners, we embrace the diversity within our school, focusing on what unites us while also celebrating what makes each of us unique. We interact with appreciation for those who think and act differently, coming together to support our mission.
