Denver Jewish Day School announced recently that beginning in the 2022-23 school year, families with at least one parent who works for the Jewish community as clergy, a communal professional or educator qualifies for a 50 percent reduction in tuition. According to Head of School, Avi Halzel, this is a program he’s wanted to do for some time. “This program is our way of thanking the Jewish professionals in our community. We want them to know how much their hard work is appreciated. We hope this program will both encourage new families to visit and make applying and enrollment more accessible.”
Halzel added that he is happy to be making this announcement as families are considering school options for the 2022-23 school year. Applications are due for 2022-23 on February 15, 2022.
President & CEO of JEWISHcolorado and Denver JDS parent, Rabbi Jay Strear was also thrilled to see this announcement heading into the upcoming school year. “JEWISHcolorado is thrilled that Denver JDS has made this strong step in supporting our Jewish professionals,” said Strear. “We hope that it will also help our organizations attract talent not only in Denver, but nationally with such a great added benefit.”
