Meet the Development Team

Sam started at Denver JDS the summer of 2019, but really joined the DJDS family in 1988 when she began Kindergarten at Herzl. Sam went on from graduating Denver JDS (at the time, RMHA) to get a B.A. from Brandeis University, and spent some time traveling and living in Europe and NYC before returning to Denver in 2010. She's thrilled to be back at her alma matter to help grow fundraising and alumni engagement. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family (husband Russ, son Avi (future class of 2034) and daughter Maytal (future class of 2036)) and distance running.

Pam joined Denver JDS in December 2019, bringing with her over a decade of combined experience in nonprofit, legal, and government entities. Before she moved to Denver in 2014, she earned a J.D. from William & Mary Law School (2014) and a B.A. in English from the University of Scranton (2006). Outside of work, she spends time with her family, Ryan (partner) and Luna (Siberian Husky), and enjoys creative writing, theatre, hockey (Go Caps!), cooking/baking, and hiking. 

Melisa joined DJDS as the Annual Fund Manager in 2023. Melisa joins us with over 10 years of experience in customer relationship management, fundraising, and event planning and will be working with the Development Team toward the continued growth and success of the Annual Fund.  Over the past year and a half, she has sat on several PTO committees including the Annual Dinner, EPI School Supply program, and both the Fall and Spring Schmooze. Melisa’s children both attend DJDS in the Lower Division!
