TIGER TALES

 

Our beloved story time for children ages five and under will remain as in-person events for the 2022-23 school year! All Tiger Tales programs will be hosted at Denver Jewish Day School in the Lower Division building, and the programs are all powered by PJ Library! Click any of the dates below to register now!

Here are all of the Tiger Tales sessions for the 2022-23 school year (all times are 4 PM): 

Sukkot Festival with PJ Library

Families with children ages 2-8 will love this program  on October 9, 2022 from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM, co-hosted by Denver JDS and PJ Library! Come to our campus for a Sukkot celebration with music, crafts, Farmette activities, and more!

Mini Mensch University: Chanukkah Style

December 11, 2022 from 10 AM - 12 PM at Denver JDS. Children in PreK and their families are invited to spend a morning preparing for Chanukkah with our Lower Division team. Have fun and get a sneak peak at Denver JDS life and learning! Registration link is coming soon.

Student Shadowing

Lower Division Grades 1-5

Students applying for grades 1-5 will schedule a half day visit to Denver JDS in their current grade. Visitors will shadow a student host for the morning, experiencing a day in the life of Denver JDS. The Office of Admission will work with you to schedule this visit after you submit your application. Visitors must show proof of Covid 19 vaccination OR take a Covid Test with Covid Check Colorado 48 hours prior to the visit, and a negative result is required. Covid test results will be shared with Denver JDS by Covid Check Colorado. Negative results from an at-home rapid Covid test are also acceptable on the day of the visit. The Office of Admission will provide all testing instructions once the shadow visit has been scheduled. At the end of their visit, students will be sent home with a box lunch from our campus caterer (dietary laws observed).

INFORMATIONAL EVENTS
 

High School Sneak Preview (November 2, 2022 from 6:30-8:30 PM)

High school is full of opportunities. This interactive program is designed for 8th-grade students and their families to learn about the unique opportunities they have at Denver JDS. Learn with our faculty and meet our administration, students, and parents. Leave with a strong understanding of what we do to support adolescents and prepare them for college and life. Dinner will be served (dietary laws observed).

Middle School Sneak Preview (November 9, 2022 from 6:30-8:30 PM)

Yes, it's possible to have a great middle school experience! This program is designed so 5th graders and their families to find out how! Parents will learn with middle school faculty and hear from our administration while their kids participate in a program just for them facilitated by student ambassadors and faculty members. Leave with a strong understanding of why kids thrive in middle school at Denver JDS. Dinner will be served (dietary laws observed).
