Meet Our Student Services Team
A graduate of Colorado State University, Ms. Deb earned her bachelor's degree in Speech/Language and Hearing Disorders and a master’s in Special Education: Learning and Emotional Disabilities, with an additional concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has more than 20 years’ experience as a learning and literacy specialist, is a member of the International Dyslexia Association with years of Orton Gillingham based literacy instruction. As a parent of a child with learning differences, Ms. Deb understands what it takes to support students and families with differentiated learning needs.
Dr. Gall earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado and her M.A. in School Counseling from the University of Colorado, as well as completing a postgraduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has worked in the mental health field for more than 10 years in settings including schools, university counseling centers, and community mental health. Dr. Gall loves reading, cooking, and hiking with her family.
Mrs. Klein has been a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of Colorado since 1991. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University and an Master of Arts degree from California Graduate Institute. She joined Denver JDS in 1994 and loves the community experience here. When she's not working, Mrs. Klein enjoys family time and travel, her dog Jack Willy, and reading and writing.
A Denver native, Ms. Satler earned her degree in early childhood education from the University of Northern Colorado. She spent a year as a Denver Public School first grade teacher and prior to that taught special education and math as a paraprofessional. Ms. Satler is also an outdoor educator for various programs and is passionate about teaching survival skills and flora identification.
Ms. Whistler has a Bachelor of Arts degree degree in elementary education and a Master of Arts degree in curriculum and instruction from Arizona State University. She has been teaching for more than 10 years and joined Denver JDS in 2011. Mrs. Whistler's most memorable learning experience was her very first day as a teacher in her own classroom, and she says the most important qualities of a teacher are flexibility and a love of learning.
Ms. Zitron was born and raised in South Africa where she taught for several years before immigrating to America with her husband. She has Bachelor of Science degree in physics and English with specialization in art education from the University of South Africa (UNISA) Pretoria College of Education. She also has a Master’s in Science Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass. She enjoys travelling and exploring the world of art and science and is constantly amazed at how the two intersect. On weekends Ms. Zitron is most likely to be found in a museum or an art gallery or just enjoying life in Denver.
