Grandparent Involvement

One who engages in grandparenting for 120 years will live a long life. -- Yiddish saying

Research shows that involving family -- including grandparents -- in school life further enables children to grow and thrive. Besides, grandparents have a unique and important perspective on learning, which we both treasure and respect. Whether you're looking for a volunteer opportunity at Denver JDS, want an excuse to kvell about your offspring's offspring, or are curious about the state of our school, we are thrilled you've reached this page.

Coffee & Chats

Grandparents are an important part of our students' and school's life. Come hear about the state of our school from Head of School/CEO Avi Halzel. Then take some time to socialize and develop the important connections that positively impact the lives of our students. Refreshments will be served. Our next Grandparent Chat is scheduled for Friday April 24, 2015 at 1:30pm in the Mirage Family Chapel.

Stay in the Loop

Grandparents are encouraged to attend to numerous events and activities throughout the school year. Help us keep you apprised of what's going on in your grandchild's school so you can plan for and attend them wherever possible. Contact Samantha Horoschak to ensure that your contact information is current in our database.
