Students in all grades have the opportunity to participate in sports at Denver Jewish Day School (Denver JDS)
In the Upper School Division (grades 6-12), team sports are available in volleyball, basketball, baseball and soccer. More than half of all Upper School students participate on at least one team. In middle school and at the junior varsity level, there is a “no cut” policy.
As members of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA), teams compete in the 5280 League. Membership in CHSAA also enables our students who play team sports not offered at Denver JDS to compete in that sport at a public high school in the district in which their family resides. For more information, contact Josh Lake, athletic director, at jlake@denverjds.org or 303-369-0663, ext. 218. Access the Athletic Calendar here.
Lower School (grades K-5) students can participate in after-school athletics through our Blast program. Tennis and flag football are just a few of the amazing offerings of the program.
