Mission and Who We Are
The mission of our Jewish community day school is to educate Jewish students through an integrated secular and Jewish studies program to thrive in college and beyond and act ethically and purposefully in the world.
As Denver’s only community K-12 Jewish day school, Denver Jewish Day School (Denver JDS), formerly Herzl/RMHA, offers a unique model for wisdom and achievement by integrating high-quality college preparatory and Jewish education in an individualized, caring environment.
Our outstanding teachers combine Judaic learning skills such as insightful questioning, critical analysis and creative thought together with high-quality, challenging, secular and Judaic academics in a community environment steeped in values, exploration and support.
The Denver JDS educational experience leads to critical thinking, creativity, a love of learning and a social responsibility that forms the foundation of a meaningful, satisfying life.

Our Position on the State of Israel
The creation of the State of Israel is one of the seminal events in Jewish history. Recognizing the significance of the State and its national institution, we seek to instill in our students an attachment to the State of Israel and its people, as well as a sense of responsibility for their welfare.
